The Kentucky Association of School Business Officials (KASBO) strives to be the authority for school business operations in Kentucky. History
Founded in 1960, KASBO is a professional state association of school business management professionals. Our goal is to provide high-quality training and professional development to school business officials and business support staff. The board and staff strive to promote the highest standards of school business management practices, professional growth and the effective use of educational resources. KASBO is a network of professionals providing knowledge, solutions and resources to achieve the maximum and efficient use of school district resources. Through regional and state conferences and training programs, KASBO provides learning opportunities to enhance the profession of school business management, improves the performance of the public school districts in which they work, and assists administrators and their districts deal effectively with the changing environment where they operate. KASBO represents 171 school districts and the chief finance officers in each. Other members include non-instructional staff at the local and state levels from specialized areas in school business management such as accounts receivable/payable, purchasing, payroll, human resources, budgets, and accounting as well as the general field of school business administration.
