Founded in 1960, KASBO is a professional state association of school business management professionals. Our goal is to provide high-quality training and professional development to school business officials and business support staff. The board and staff strive to promote the highest standards of school business management practices, professional growth, and the effective use of educational resources. KASBO is a network of professionals providing knowledge, solutions, and resources to achieve the maximum and efficient use of school district resources.

Through regional and state conferences and training programs, KASBO provides learning opportunities to enhance the school business management profession, improve the performance of the public school districts in which they work, and assist administrators and their districts in dealing effectively with the changing environment in which they operate. KASBO represents 171 school districts and the chief finance officers in each. Other members include non-instructional staff at the local and state levels from specialized areas in school business management such as accounts receivable/payable, purchasing, payroll, human resources, budgets, and accounting as well as the general field of school business administration.
