Committee work is essential to KASBO’s success. By sharing their experience, ideas, and expertise, committee members help guide programs, strengthen professional learning, recognize excellence, and ensure KASBO remains responsive to the needs of school business professionals across Kentucky. Serving on a committee is also a meaningful way for members to build connections, develop leadership skills, and help shape the future of the association.

Professional Development Committee
The Professional Development Committee, chaired by the President-Elect, works closely with KASBO’s Executive Director to identify relevant content areas and develop professional learning tracks for the Fall and Spring Conferences. The committee helps ensure KASBO’s educational programs address the evolving needs of Kentucky’s school business professionals.

Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee, chaired by the Immediate Past President, identifies and nominates qualified members for KASBO’s elected leadership positions. Its work helps ensure the association continues to benefit from committed, capable leaders. The KASBO Board will publicly call for nominations.


Scholarship Committee
The Scholarship Committee reviews applications and selects scholarship recipients according to KASBO’s established policies and criteria. The number of scholarships awarded is based on the funding allocated for the program.


Awards Committee
The Awards Committee manages the nomination, review, and selection process for KASBO’s Outstanding School Business Official and Outstanding School Business Support Staff awards. The committee follows established award guidelines to recognize individuals whose service and accomplishments exemplify excellence in school business operations.


Advisory Committee
Chaired by the Executive Director, the Advisory Committee provides strategic guidance and support related to KASBO’s programming, membership, community connections, and fundraising efforts. The committee helps ensure the association remains responsive, connected, and positioned for continued growth.
